Dear praying friends,

A Providential Meeting
Having just pulled in to the church parking lot where we we’ve been parked for this week, I looked back toward the road and saw a motorcycle that had immediately pulled in just behind us. At first I didn’t see the rider, then looking again I saw him slightly hunched over. Something seemed off with his appearance, not suspicious, just not right. Turning from helping my son Philip out of his seat, I called to the driver, ā€œHey! Is everything all right?ā€ He straightened up. ā€œAh, a bug just hit my eye, and I’m trying to
get it out.ā€ Having a key to the church building, I let him in. Between the two of us, and with the aid of some basic medical supplies, after some time we were finally able to extract a good size insect from his eye. Just a random series of circumstances, one might say, but the timing couldn’t have been more curious. Had the bug not hit him just where it had, or if it had been any earlier or later that evening, we would have missed him. After the "bug-eyeā€ matter was resolved, Chris and I made our acquaintance. He’s mid-30s, a machinist by trade, ā€œraised Baptist,ā€ with some rough patches in his past. I don’t believe Chris to be saved. For several minutes before he disappeared into the night, I had the opportunity to speak to him of the things of the Lord, and encouraged him to seek God in his life. I do not believe this was a coincidence. Pray with me that God will continue to graciously reach out to Chris, and put him in the path of others to help him to the Savior! Pray also that we may be sensitive to be in the place where we may be of help to others just like Chris, humble hearts in need of help.

Progress Report
Since our last update we have had the blessing to be in many churches, and I trust we shall see much by way of support commitments come from that. We have seen several new supporters partner with us, with others expressing to us that they would desire to do so in the future.

Other Happenings
Our recent travels have placed us in churches in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The month of May was mostly divided between Indiana and Michigan. We had been with Cornerstone Baptist in Winchester, IN for their missions conference last fall, and found out about some particular needs they had with rebuilding their church building, which had been lost in a tornado a short time before. Last month we found the the opening in our schedule to spend two weeks with Pastor Andy Price and his family and be of assistance with one of the very needed projects. Much was accomplished. If for no other reason, I believe the Lord allowed us to come alongside some of his dear servants, and be of encouragement to them at a very
opportune time. Being in the way, the Lord leads us, and we thank Him! All glory be to
Him! During that time, we also had the opportunity to visit some churches in the general
area, give updates in two supporting churches, and present the ministry and preach in some others. We are grateful to be used of the Lord in whatever
ways He sees fit to use us.

Politics CANADA
As we mentioned in our last update, Canada’s national elections took place the end of April. The result was not the worst possible outcome. The leading political party, the Liberals, remain in power, though without a governing majority, it seems they are unlikely to be able to carry forth all of their priorities. It remains to be seen how effectively they are able to govern under now Prime Minister Carney. It is my sense that things will remain about the same as they have been under the previous prime minister. Please keep this matter in prayer. We are pressing forward in how we believe the Lord is leading us, and we look forward to being on the mission field as soon as possible, by God’s grace.

Another baby Bach!
Since some of you are wondering, we thought we might as well spill the news and avoid any further suspense. We are expecting baby number 6 in October! We don’t have much else to share about this at the moment, other than that Emily and baby are doing well. We will have more information soon. So far, Emily does not seem to have the iron issues that concerned us with last pregnancy. Please pray for continued blessing with this!

Westward Ho!
My friend and brother Gregory is getting married next week. We are making preparations for the looong drive out west (anyone want to join us?) from Tennessee to
Oregon. This trip is being compressed between other commitments on our schedule in the eastern USA, so it will literally be a criss-cross country trip! We do have some church stops planned along the way. Please pray for traveling mercy, God’s providence, and sustaining strength.

In Closing
Thank you for your prayers and support. Please pray that the Lord will give us open doors of ministry and encouragement, both to sinners and saints, in our many travels
hither and thither. God bless you all!
For the Gospel's sake,
The Bachs
Johnathan & Emily
Andrew, Annabelle, Thomas, Philip, & James
