Dear Praying Friends,
I am so thankful for the many answers to prayer since my last update. God is always good, and I am so thankful for how He continues to lead. I could never fully express my gratitude to you, as many have prayed and sent words of encouragement. It has truly meant a lot during this time. 

Since my return to the U.S. I have been able to receive some needed medical assistance. After a few tests, two diagnoses have been confirmed. These issues will require surgical intervention to correct, but thankfully they can be fixed with a two-in-one type surgery. There are very few surgeons who perform this specific surgery. I learned yesterday (June 2nd) that there is a delay in moving forward with the “best surgeon” for these conditions due to insurance coverage. Please pray that this issue can be resolved quickly and in a favorable manner so that we can move forward with the help that I need.

It has been very exciting to hear how the young nationals, Shaun and Raman, have stepped up during my absence. Gabane Private School has begun their second of three terms for this year. They started this term with a review of the verses and Bible lessons from last term. Shaun and Raman were very encouraged with how much the children have retained. They are also overseeing the Kids Bible Club in Oodi Village. Although it is winter there, they are continuing to have first time visitors every Saturday. This last week, adults also came and listened to the Bible lesson. They even stayed afterwards and began asking questions and said they will send their kids next week! Please continue to pray that the verses and lessons will not only be remembered in their heads, but will affect their hearts!

Thank you so much for your prayers concerning my permits. My appeal was able to be submitted in May. Their decision will likely take several months (a fellow missionary has already been waiting six months). However, the submission will allow me to return to Botswana once my health issues are addressed.

A couple of weeks ago I received a text from a lady I have been in contact with a lot through the Ministry of Health in Botswana. She continues to want to help us navigate and facilitate medical missions there. She told me that God is using the situation I am going through to be a testimony to her and her colleagues. Please continue to pray that God will continue to receive glory and others will be pointed to Him!
